Trends that are Here to Stay!

April Long gives helpful tips in an article on Elle.com from hair styles to makeup tips that are not going out of style anytime soon.  I think this article is extremely detailed and helpful because Long starts out by naming the trend and pairing it with a picture followed by the products to use and how to use them.  "Beachy hair" is Long's first topic she discusses.  Hairstylist Ashley Javier says, "Beachy hair should carry over from day to night, so it can't be such a mess that you can't wear it to a cocktail party."  The article advises readers to use Bumble South Surf Spray; but beachy hair can be achieved simply by using  any kind of cheaper brand mousse.  John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls also works wonders, and best of all, its only five dollars!

HALLOWEEN IS HERE!

Brooke Bobb's article, "10 Things to Buy and Keep after You're Done Trick-Or-Treating" is extremely helpful and gives advice on how to merge a shopping trip for a halloween costume with this season's fashion trends. Bobb offers ideas of ten specific items to buy, dress up for halloween, then ditch the extras and wear in your normal wardrobe after halloween.

Even though Bobb came up with creative ideas, she did not appeal to an audience with a low budget.  My suggestion would be to offer other basic ideas of clothing to buy that is more affordable instead of listing specific and expensive items.

Number 6 is without a question my favorite costume idea, and fur is a huge fashion trend right now.  If you're looking to go all out for halloween this year as a woodland creature, pair the fur vest with a pair of Nine West fur boots..as if you even need an excuse to buy these!! Nine West Fur Boots

EYE SHADOW ALERT!

According to In Style magazine, green eye shadow is very in this season.  For people with amber-colored eyes, this color works best.  Makeup artist Pati Dubroff said, "There's something about green shadow that makes eyes really golden."  Dubroff works with Jessica Biel, Megan Fox, and Amanda Seyfried, AKA some of the hottest women celebrities right now, so she obviously knows what she's talking about.  I think this is a great tip, but I would advise people with green eyes, like myself, to try a purple eye shadow this fall, too.  It's very flattering and makes green or hazel eyes pop, similar to the way a green shadow works an amber eye!
